LIPETSK, Russia, January 31, 2019 – Honeywell today officially opened its latest manufacturing facility in Russia – the third Honeywell site of its kind in the country – to increase localization and provide regional customers with faster access to locally developed, world-class industrial technologies.

In his address to the people living in the Lipetsk Region, the governor said, “The Lipetsk Region is one of the most attractive investment destinations in Russia. Every region has its points of growth. Speaking about the Lipetsk Region, they are human resources, honest and high-skilled people who make great contribution to the region’s development. We expect their active involvement.

Viessmann’s General Director summarized 20 years of work in Russia and told us about sales growth, a share in the global business and development prospects. In 2018, Viessmann celebrated its 20th anniversary of presence in Russia. The company made real progress in the past years. Its products have become widely known in Russia, and the company has confirmed its well-deserved reputation of a reliable manufacturer.

RZD Logistics made the first shipment of geosynthetics from one of the CIS major producers PRESTORUS to Vietnam. The products were delivered by road and rail to Yen Vien, a railway station near Hanoi.

Igor Artamonov claimed the Lipetsk SEZ to be one of the best in Russia. He also mentioned the problems with a number of its tenants. “We are contributing to finding a solution,” Artamonov told the media. According to him, the latest tenants are high-tech companies only. “We should form a pool of qualified professionals able to operate new equipment, which is very important for potential investors.

On 17 January 2019, a delegation of Macedonian businessmen visited the Lipetsk SEZ. The visit was part of the knowledge exchange between Macedonian and Russian businessmen and scientists.

In 2019, the Lipetsk SEZ approved the regulation on supporting and encouraging employees that lead a healthy lifestyle as part of the National Physical Activity and Sports Promotion Program.

At least six new plants will be built this year in the Lipetsk SEZ, said its General Director Ivan Koshelev. All of them belong to the world’s leading companies.

After finishing construction of the second production line in the Lipetsk SEZ in the first quarter of 2019, OBO Bettermann Production will start designing the third line for the production of cable support systems later this year, said Ivan Koshelev, Head of the Lipetsk SEZ.

In 2018, the Lipetsk SEZ Management Company demonstrated the fast pace of its infrastructure and marketing development. The Lipetsk SEZ sites in Yelets and Gryazi hosted 13 new investors with total investments of RUB 24.137 billion. PPG Industries Lipetsk and LITIKS Innovative Engineering Center already operating in the Lipetsk SEZ announced expansion of their projects.

On 19 December 2018 the Expert Council of the Lipetsk Industrial Special Economic Zone (the Lipetsk SEZ) chaired by Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, discussed and approved the business plans of potential investors. A total of RUB 9.2 billion of investment is planned. More than 500 jobs will be created.

On 5 December 2018, Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, held talks with Orlando Napoli, President of Fondital S.p.a, and handed him an official document certifying that the company’s new plant manufacturing radiators and heating boilers was commissioned officially.
