U.S. Chamber of Commerce Gained Insight Into Investment Potential of Lipetsk SEZ

A delegation from the Lipetsk Region made a presentation of the Lipetsk SEZ investment potential for representatives of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The delegation headed by Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, included heads of the regional agencies involved in the management of investor relations, representatives of the Lipetsk SEZ and top managers from tenant companies, including Vice President of Honeywell Russia and Eurasian Customs Union Leonid Sorokin, Cargill’s Director John Lane, Finance Director of PPG Industries Rudi Podlesnik, Operations Director of EMENA/Kemin Agrifoods Europe Timur Voronin, and General Director of Lamb Weston Belaya Dacha Irina Shatskaya. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce was represented by over 15 member companies.
President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia Alexis Rodzianko delivered a welcoming speech and mentioned a favorable investment climate of the Lipetsk Region.
Igor Artamonov said that the four-level investor acquisition system established in the Lipetsk Region was acknowledged as the one of the most effective investment systems in Russia. Investors are offered a wide variety of investment options, including the Lipetsk SEZ, a number of regional special economic zones, tech parks and industrial clusters. “The Lipetsk SEZ is considered to be one of the most efficient economic zones in Russia. It has 64 tenants from 16 countries with over EUR 2.7 billion of planned investments,” said Igor Artamonov.
Executives of the Lipetsk SEZ tenants shared their experience in implementing investment projects.
At the end of the meeting, Lipetsk and U.S. companies shared their contacts at a networking session.
