DOKA First Showed Its Russian-Made Formwork at Bauma 2019
At Bauma 2019 exhibition in Munich, the worldwide known formwork manufacturer DOKA presented its 32 new products – new frame and beam slab formwork, formwork components, safety systems, and unique digital solutions for construction sites.
The key focus for the Russian attendees was the presentation of ReForma Standard plus, DOKA’s new formwork to be manufactured in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone, Russia. At the Bauma CTT exhibition in June, the new product will be presented for Russia.
The new steel frame formwork ReForma Standard plus is intended for building vertical in-situ reinforced concrete structures, e.g. walls, columns and wells. First and foremost, DOKA’s new formwork made in Russia is designed for housing and commercial construction where the priorities are ease of assembly, reliability, long service life and high cost-efficiency.
The production of ReForma Standard plus, DOKA’s brand new formwork, will be fully based on the Austrian technologies and quality standards. The factory occupying 6 ha in the Lipetsk SEZ will have the same equipment that DOKA operates in Austria. Its fully automated production line will release the first lot of ReForma Standard plus in the midsummer, followed by the sales officially starting in September 2019.
“ReForma Standard plus is a brand new product created in compliance with the Austrian practices and adapted to Russian conditions,” said DOKA RUS General Director Boris Ukhov. “The formwork has enhanced attachment mechanisms, higher inventory turnover, and a better design of wall and corner components. This will help us become more competitive with Russian and foreign manufacturers on the domestic market and expand our exports in the future.”
“The total investments in the DOKA formwork factory in Lipetsk have already reached about 9 million Euro,” added Andrei Gusev, General Director of DOKA Lipetsk. “At the moment, our staff numbers 28 people and is expected to grow to 90. Our team undergo training in Austria, and we also have on-site training sessions with DOKA experts. This means that ReForma Standard plus, which our factory will produce, will be based on the decades-long experience of a global engineering market leader.”
DOKA’s other new products shown at Bauma 2019 included DokaXlight, the world’s most lightweight wall formwork. The company also presented FreeFalcon, a mobile safety system to protect workers facing a risk of falling from height.
One more item shown was Concremote, a unique remote control system for monitoring the concrete hardening process online. It has been supplemented with new hardware and numerous software features, specifically digital systems for managing concreting works. Finally, the company demonstrated DokaXact, an innovative touch system which ensures quicker operation and accuracy in surveying and installation of self-climbing wall forms.
