On 7 June, Igor Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region, met Renée Jones-Bos, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Russia, on the margins of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. Shortly before, the Dutch delegation visited the Lipetsk Region on a business tour, and Ms. Jones-Bos expressed a wish to grow cooperation with the region.

Invest Foresight magazine has published its May 2019 National Investment Climate Ranking, with regions ranked by their score. The Lipetsk Region is investing in the development of the infrastructure for its tenants. Municipal budgets for 2019, 2020 and 2021 were amended during the 49th session of the Lipetsk Deputy Council of the fifth convocation. The Lipetsk tech park will receive RUB 128 million to prepare the sites for tenant companies and infrastructure. This work already has some results as three more companies have been selected to become tenants of Lipetsk Tech Park in May. The number of tenants in the tech park already totals 30.

On 23 May 2019, a delegation from the Netherlands visited the Lipetsk SEZ during the stay in the region. Among the delegates were representatives of the Dutch embassy and businesses. The Management Company told the guests about the investment potential and rapid development of the SEZ.

Lipetsk SEZ General Director Dmitry Dudarev demonstrated the investment potential of the economic zone to Italian visitors and informed them of rapid development of the Lipetsk SEZ.

Lipetsk Region Acting Governor Igor Artamonov had a meeting with Bekaert’s management. Since its establishment in 2010, Bekaert Lipetsk has been producing steel cord for automotive industry and Dramix steel fiber used in construction. The company has 450 employees, most of whom are young people.

According to the ROIF Expert marketing agency, Russia’s French fries production has shown a record fast growth of 480%. In value terms, the country’s French fries market has increased by 38%.

At Bauma 2019 exhibition in Munich, the worldwide known formwork manufacturer DOKA presented its 32 new products – new frame and beam slab formwork, formwork components, safety systems, and unique digital solutions for construction sites. The key focus for the Russian attendees was the presentation of ReForma Standard plus, DOKA’s new formwork to be manufactured in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone, Russia. At the Bauma CTT exhibition in June, the new product will be presented for Russia.

The employees of the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone (Lipetsk SEZ) congratulated the war veterans and residents of the Matyrski community on the 74th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and organized a tea party in the form of a military campsite.
