Representatives of 15 Russian regions, as well as of Russian and Turkish business communities have completed the first international training course at the site of investment agency INVEST IN ISTANBUL (Istanbul Development Agency).
Istanbul Development Agency was selected by the organizers as one of the most effective in its activities. According to the results of the first trimester of 2022, Istanbul took the fourth place among European cities in terms of attracted investments after London, Paris and Berlin. Internship participants got acquainted with the work of Istanbul Chamber of Industry and Istanbul Investment Support Center, which was established to guaranty support services to investors. The guests were also invited to the Special Economic Zone and the Center for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The Ikitelli SEZ includes companies that provide added value of $5-6 billion on average to the national economy. These are 24,864 companies located in a 700-hectare area with a total of 300,000 jobs. The ITU Teknokent Center for Technology, Innovation, Entrepreneurship is a science park with more than 300 advanced companies located on the main campus of Istanbul Technical University, which promotes interaction between Academia and industry, prepares, develops and supports projects, platforms and programs of technological development.
"One of the advantages of such events is new direct contacts with colleagues. The format of live communication allows real dialogue to obtain information on various useful details of work, which in online conferences or correspondence are usually left out of the equation. I also want to note the system of work with investments in the Republic of Türkiye. It is well thought-out and multi-component, set up for effective activity. I am pleased that all the cooperation proposals made at the meeting found a response and interest from our Turkish colleagues. I am sure that the Lipetsk region and the Republic of Türkiye have great potential for the development of joint projects," said Elena Sushkova, Deputy Director of the Investment Development Agency of the Lipetsk region.
