An automatic grid control and monitoring system was commissioned in the Lipetsk SEZ in order to improve management of the utilities and quality of maintenance services offered to SEZ tenants.
The operators of the grid control center will be responsible for around-the-clock monitoring and remote operation of the utility systems of the Gryazi and Yelets sites, and handling tenants’ applications for maintenance and connection to the grid. The grid control center will improve accuracy of the consumption metering and collect necessary data for the power system efficiency analysis.
The new automatic system will control and monitor the fire alarm, water supply, sewage, storm drainage, heat and gas supply systems, and external lighting along the roads and tenants’ facilities.
According to Ivan Koshelev, General Director of the Lipetsk SEZ, real-time dispatching control is strategically important for ensuring reliable operation of the tenants’ facilities. “The grid control center is our new competitive advantage over other special economic zones. It will help us acquire new investors,” he said.
