Two municipal districts of the region, Gryazinsky and Eletsky, are taking part in the All-Russian contest "Implemented Strategies: from Idea to Execution". The contest is aimed at disseminating the experience of effective municipal strategic planning systems.
Among municipal entities with a population of less than 80 thousand, Griazinsky and Eletsky Districts are competing for two interim nominations - "The Best Flagship Project" and "The Most Sustainable Strategic Planning System". For the first time they presented the sites of the special economic zone "Lipetsk" in their socio-economic development strategies.
Making presentation on the priority areas of SEZ activities, tax, transport and land benefits, availability of human resources and support measures of investment projects, both districts emphasized the growth of key indicators in the number of residents, created jobs, investments and output.
The final of the municipal strategies contest will be held in St. Petersburg from October 31 to November 1 at the Forum of Strategists. Gryazinsky and Eletsky districts will tell the members of jury about perspectives given to the municipalities by the grounds of SEZ "Lipetsk". The winners will be defined according to the results of the speeches. The awarding ceremony is planned for November 1.
"It is very pleasant that both districts have declared for the contest our sites as Flagship projects. In fact, it means tax deductions to the budget, creation of workplaces, new investors and positive image for municipalities and the region as a whole. I wish the contestants to win - we will continue our further successful cooperation," said Alexander Bazayev, the General Director of SEZ "Lipetsk".
