A fire safety training exercise with the participation of fire rescue service employees was organized at the Gryazi site of SEZ "Lipetsk". According to the scenario developed by SEZ and EMERCOM specialists, one of the transformers at the substation caught fire. At a predetermined time, the fire alarm went off. After 10 minutes, two special vehicles with firefighters arrived at the scene of the alleged emergency and quickly began to eliminate the fire. All substation personnel joined the exercise and acted in accordance with the necessary rules.
After eliminating the potential fire, the participants proceeded to the second part of the training exercise. Next to the substation there is a building with working places of the special economic zone employees. Immediately after the alarm, they had to leave their offices and go outside. Here, at a safe distance from the building, firefighters simulated a fire – in a special container they set on fire a mixture of water, diesel and gasoline to show how to handle a fire extinguisher. Employees of SEZ "Lipetsk" were also able to try their hand at extinguishing fires, under the guidance of rescuers and in compliance with all safety measures.
Such training sessions are held twice a year. The next one will be organized in autumn. Exercises help SEZ specialists and employees to practice actions in case of real emergencies.
