The forum "Inter-regional cooperation as the tool of development in the context of economic constraints", taking place in Lipetsk region, is attended by the delegation of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR), headed by the Director of AIRR, Ivan Fedotov.
Among the speakers of the forum are Sergey Kurbatov, deputy head of the administration of the Lipetsk region; Kirill Dozhdikov, head of the economic development department of the region; representatives of the Lipetsk business community and investment development agencies from the Ulyanovsk, Irkutsk and Novgorod regions, Altai Krai and the Republic of Tatarstan. The participants shared their experience in regional business support funds, methods of attracting investments and solving logistical problems in the conditions of sanctions.
"Today we need to pay attention to import substitution not only of components or raw materials, but also the projects themselves. Many of them are on pause. But we have experience when, for example, European investors are ready to hand over their projects to their Russian colleagues for further implementation. Because much effort, money and work have already been invested, and foreign businessmen are sorry to abandon them. If we talk about attracting new partners, we have understood that it is not enough to talk about the promising region. We need to spend less time on information about benefits and infrastructure, and more time showing the real business that can be built, with an indication of the raw material base, and potential sales channels. We have adapted to the new realities, and the negotiations are rather successful", told the director of the Agency of the Investment Development of the Lipetsk region Alexander Bazaev.
The Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR) is a non-profit organization designed to promote effective interaction between the regions of the Russian Federation in matters of economic development on the basis of integration and use of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative development results. Currently, the Association unites 17 of the strongest regions in terms of innovation.
