The first meeting of the renewed Board of the National Association of Investment and Development Agencies (NAAIR) took place as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It was attended by Alexander Bazaev, director of the Investment Development Agency of Lipetsk Region.
The issues discussed included the development of inter-regional cooperation for investor relations and the possibilities for strengthening the role of regional specialized organizations in working with investors under current economic conditions.
"During SPIEF, President Vladimir Putin traditionally formulates the tasks of interaction between the authorities and business, and we expect that the day after tomorrow there will be new impulses related to the intensification of the investment process in the new difficult conditions. We will support this tradition and I hope we will organize annual meetings of the Supervisory Board at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum", said Alexander Shokhin.
Chairman of the Board of the NAAIR Sergey Belyakov noted that Association unites 75 regional specialized organizations with more than 6 thousand investment projects in their portfolio. It was a developer of the professional standard "Specialist to work with investment projects" and others as well.
" What are those projects in our portfolio? That's more than 376,000 jobs - some of them have been created already, some of them are planned. In fact, this is a financial resource to improve the quality of life", said Sergey Belyakov.
The meeting ended with a discussion of proposals from members of the Supervisory Board for the development of existing tools to support investors and successful practices in the regions.
