On 26 April 2018, a meeting of the Committee for the Localization of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce chaired by Gerfried Laurin was held in the special economic zone Lipetsk (hereinafter referred to as the Lipetsk SEZ).
The representatives of Astron Buildings, Lamilux, Fuchs Oil Russia, Drees and Sommer Project Management and Building Technologies, Kaiser + Craft and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Russian Federation were present.
General Director of the Lipetsk SEZ Ivan Koshelev told the guests about the project and the cooperation prospects. The German representatives took a tour around the production sites, viewed well-developed infrastructure and visited operating facilities and paid visits to OBO Bettermann Production and Viessmann Lipetsk. During the Localization Committee meeting, the German businessmen and the Lipetsk SEZ Management Company talked about the conditions for obtaining a resident status, a range of tax reliefs and subsidies.
Currently, the Lipetsk SEZ hosts 54 companies from 17 countries with
• RUB 8.9 billion in public investments
• RUB 179 billion in private investments
• RUB 54.5 billion in investments actually made
• 3,700 new jobs
• RUB 70 billion in products manufactured
