On April 29, 2016 at the Expert Council meeting in the Ministry of Economy 3 more investment projects were approved to be implemented in Lipetsk Special Economic Zone. Another 2 operating SEZ tenants were applying for existing projects expansion. The joint worth of all the investment application submitted exceeds 18 bn.rub.
Schlumberger company, which was listed among the applicants, in 2018 is going to start production of electric submersible pumps. The investments into the facility will make 3.8 bn.rub. The facility will provide 110 new jobs in the region.
Russia-Israel joint venture - Isolate, LLC - will be involved into the production of soy protein isolate materials introducing a completely new import substitution products to the Russian market. The factory worth of 3.35 bn.rub. will also be commissioned in 2018 offering 150 new workplaces.
BS Processing LLC, a new Russian SEZ resident, has taken up to establish a metal-processing plant by 2017. The investments claimed make something 400 mln.rub.
In addition to the newly accepted residents two of current SEZ tenants are planning to further extend the investments and increase the capacities.
ABB Group, already operating in SEZ since 2014, has announced the construction of another facility designed for low voltage distribution boards worth of 1.5 bn.rub.
Belaya Dacha LLC will be doing a project on French fries production. The total volume of investments into the project is going to reach 9.6 bn.rub.
