PPG Industries (PPG Industries Lipetsk LLC) expects its dissolvable coatings factory in Lipetsk SEZ to be finished by October 2016.
It is stated that due to economic sanctions against Russia the construction works were suspended for nearly a year. However, the company management after all chose to go for continuing the project.
The application was put forward and approved in 2013. With investments about $35 mln the plant will deliver 25 000 tons of coatings per year.
The list of would-be customers includes automotive, ship-building groups as well as packaging companies, in particular, AutoVaz, Rexam, «Alcoa Samara» and CanPack.
