Employees of the special economic zone "Lipetsk" and the regional Investment Development Agency planted 18 trees on the eve of May 9.
"Memory Alley" was given the status of an interactive museum. The trees act as exhibits here: all saplings are named.
Each tree has information plates with the name of the veteran in honor of whom it was planted. Any visitor of the alley can get the information about the hero and his feats by scanning a QR code at the table. The system will automatically direct to the corresponding page of the site where the information provided by the relatives of the veteran is placed.
"The 9th of May remains for us a constant, important and dear date. Not just alleys and squares, but entire forests have already been planted in honor of veterans. Our company also decided to contribute to this patriotic movement. Today we not only planted trees in memory of heroes, but also recorded their names in history using modern technology," said Roman Petrukhin, General Director of SEZ "Lipetsk".
