The winners of the intellectual game "Professionarium", students of LSTU, colleges and technical colleges of Lipetsk visited Bekart and LWM RUS, residents of the special economic zone.
The tour took almost half a day and impressed not only the students, but also their teachers.
"We all had a really unique opportunity to see how the economic zone works. We couldn't even imagine that it was practically a 'city within a city.' The guys got to see production that they weren't familiar with before. They had a lot of questions about how it all works" said Alina Starkova, head of the department of the Lipetsk trade and technological college.
The students were introduced to the process of manufacturing steel cord at the Bekart plant. Specialists of the "LWM RUS" showed the full production cycle of French fries followed by a tasting of freshly fried potatoes.
"The excursions allow us to tell the students, future specialists about the enterprise's activity, production technology, innovative methods of work in the food industry. Students get an internship with us, there are examples of employment in our company", - explained Oksana Kaspari, head of human resources at "LWM RUS".
Such excursions are common practice for enterprises of the special economic zone. The guests are shown not only the production, but also the Grid Control Center, where the operation of all engineering networks, fire and customs posts located on the territory of the Gryazi and Elets SEZ sites are broadcasted in real time on a huge screen.
"Acquaintance with the resident companies of the economic zone allows not only to learn how everything is arranged inside. It helps companies to fill vacancies and talented and active young people to choose their future profession. It is a useful mutually beneficial cooperation as well as positioning the image of the special economic zone," said Roman Petrukhin, General Director of SEZ "Lipetsk".
