On March 9th 2016 the children’s care home in the town of Gryazy celebrated reopening of its gym after a complete make-over which was a courtesy from the Lipetsk SEZ tenant company – PPG Industries Lipetsk. The company executive manager Sergey Parapanov, Lipetsk SEZ Deputy CEO Maxim Khaustov and Gryazi Municipality officials attended the event among others.
When giving the opening speech Sergey Parapanov expressed hope that the gym renovation will contribute to the kids’ taking pleasure in exercising, sports competitions and other leisure activities.
The makeover was another step in PPG Industries Lipetsk corporate social responsibility programme implemented through target cause investments. The makeover included laying safety floor covering, walls redecoration, heating system repair and equipping a new area for remedial gymnastics.
In conclusion the guests took a tour around the centre facilities where the little charges exhibited their skills in fabricating ceramic toys and home decorations. As the head of the centre Dmitriy Batischev told the guests, Marina Babkina – one of the young wards – last year won “Best Reconstructor” award in XIV All-Russia Folk Art Festival “Pskov Jewels”.
