The Investment Conference “Russia: New Pattern of Industrial Cooperation” held on November 10 – 11’2016 in Milan (Italy) addressed a most timely agenda of Russian localization for Italian producers.
The conference was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of Special Economic Zones JSC (Russia) and Assolombarda Confindustria Milano, Monza e Brianza (Italy).
Vitaliy Milyavskiy, SEZ JSC CEO, led the Russian delegation which included representatives from Lipetsk, Kaluga and Astrakhan SEZs.
Over 70 Italian companies currently seeking localization in Russia attended the event along with a number of the country major business associations. A large part of these companies are already operating in Russia and are now considering growth and expansion. The others are just playing with an idea of setting up a business in Russia and investigating the possible pros and cons most intently. Italian business, as the conference showed, is mostly after pharmaceutical, automotive, health care, machine building and food industries projects on the Russian market.
Lipetsk Special Economic Zone opportunities raised huge interest among the participants. At the follow-up networking session several Italian investors announced their strong intention to apply for the tenancy status of Lipetsk SEZ in the upcoming months.
