St. Petersburg hosts the International Fishery Forum and Exhibition of Fish Industry, Seafood and Technologies – a business event for scientists and professionals in fishery, specialized companies and authorities.
A delegation of the Investment Development Agency visited the exhibition as Lipetsk region representatives. They conducted a number of negotiations with the companies involved in aquaculture, fish production and processing.
"We are studying the issue of attracting these companies as partners and investors to the Lipetsk region. We discussed the options of fish breeding both in closed water supply installations and in open reservoirs, as we are interested in fish fodders production. We also managed to communicate with representatives of fish industry from Turkey, Egypt and Iran, arranging to meet in the nearest future", said Mikhail Putilin, Head of the Regional Development Department of IDA of the Lipetsk Region.
About 400 companies from 40 Russian regions and 25 countries presented their projects and latest developments at the International Fishery Forum. The main topics of the 2022 agenda were "smart fish farming", personnel training for the industry, modernization of processing plants, export diversification and access to new markets.
