Lipetsk special economic zone welcomes new residents and Holds year-end wrap-up press conference




 December 21st 2017 Lipetsk Region governor Oleg Korolev chaired the regular meetings of Lipetsk Special Economic Zone Supervisory Board and Expert Council. The primary item on the agenda was the assessment of 5 new investment projects in Lipetsk SEZ. The newcomers are set to invest 5.7 billion RUB into SEZ productions and add 530 new high-skilled jobs to the market. 



 Two of the applicants – Light Construction LLC and Agro-Alliance CodiSem LLC – finalized their proceedings for acquiring residency certificate through the Expert Council approval which is a completion step required to sign an investment agreement. While the other three companies - Aegis LLC, Groppalli LLC, Mirlion, LLC - went through an interim stage of preliminary projects review by the Supervisory Board. 



 Agro-Alliance CodiSem LLC will be doing oil seeds multiplication and transformation in Elets site of Lipetsk SEZ. The 1.3 billion RUB. project aims mostly at Russian agricultural producers and is to win about 10% market share through crowding out foreign sellers. 



 Another three companies, that got through the first phase of approval by the SEZ Supervisory Board, are looking to establish the following start-ups (respectively): polyurethane foam production by Aegis LLC worth 1.9 billion RUB., accessories and valves for gas-fired boilers by Groppalli LLC. worth 500 million RUB. and hydroponic equipment for greenhouses worth 950 million RUB. 



 At the end of the session Vittorio Torrembini, Vice-President of Italian Entrepreneurs in Russia, and Kadzuo Kavada, CEO of Yokohama R.P.Z., speaking on behalf of all the Lipetsk SEZ tenant companies, thanked the governor Oleg Korolev for his all-time comprehensive support and handed over a jointly-signed letter of appreciation to Mr. Korolev.
