On 18 April 2018, representatives of US businesses and Russia’s Chamber of Commerce visited the Lipetsk SEZ during their stay in the region. The purpose of the visit was to inspect sites for setting up production locally. Among the SEZ guests were AIR PRODUCTS, CARGILL, DESERET INTERNATIONAL CHARITIES, BAYER and many others.
Ivan Koshelev, General Director of the Lipetsk SEZ, told the US businessmen about its history, milestones, infrastructure, tenancy application process, tax reliefs, and reduced customs duties.
SEZ employees took the delegates on a tour around the industrial sites to show construction in progress, operating facilities and pay visits to Bekaert Lipetsk and PPG Industries Lipetsk.
At the end, the parties held B2B talks for American businessmen to learn more about special economic zones in Russia.
The projects launched by US companies in the Lipetsk SEZ include Kemin Industries, PPG, Honeywell and Lamb Weston Belaya Dacha.
