While on a visit to Lipetsk region the acting chairman of the Federation Council of Russia Valentina Matvienko, accompanied by the Governor Oleg Korolev, inspected the course of Lipetsk special economic zone development and talked to the SEZ Managing company CEO Ivan Koshelev.
Ms Matvienko was advised on the present status of the SEZ site hosting 50 companies from 14 states now. Mr Koshelev announced that another 10 SEZ resident companies have scheduled launching their factories in 2017. Currently 15 SEZ operating plants employ over 3 100 people.
On the 14th of December 2016 Lipetsk SEZ new Elets stage as large as 1 300 hectares was officially opened welcoming new investors to locate and set up their facilities at the infrastructurally equipped premises.
The first tenant to start construction at Elets site is ECO-Culture Group – one of the national agro-industrial holdings. The total scope of expected of private capital investments at the new SEZ site may exceed 170 bn.RUB.
When summing up the visit impressions Valentina Matvienko rated the SEZ progress high and offered her wishes of further success and growth.
