The results of the municipal strategy contest were summed up at the All-Russian Forum in St. Petersburg. The contest was aimed to share the experience of effective municipal planning systems and to identify new approaches in order to solve social and economic problems. Three Lipetsk region districts took part in the category of municipalities with a population of less than 80 thousand people. Griazinsky and Eletsky presented their strategies for socio-economic development up to 2025 in which two sites of SEZ "Lipetsk" were indicated as flagship projects. Zadonsky district presented the "Regional Special tourist economic zone "Zadonschina". As a result, Zadonsky district took first place, Eletsky took the bronze with the presentation of SEZ "Lipetsk" Elets site as its area has a favorable location, taking in consideration that the M4 highway passes nearby, providing optimal logistics solutions for the residents. "I congratulate both participants and winners. Such a high estimation of strategic planning from the national level jury indicates effective and systematic work of the administration of the Elets district and the management of SEZ "Lipetsk". I am sure, we will continue to cooperate in attracting investments, improving the investment climate for the special economic zone development, municipality and the region as a whole", said Alexander Bazaev, General Director of SEZ "Lipetsk".
